The Follow-Up Email That Re-Activates Silent Leads and Converts Bookings

As photo booth business owners, we spend time, energy, and money chasing new leads — and of course, we should. New enquiries fuel our business.

But here’s the truth most operators overlook:

The warm leads you already have are the most likely to convert.

These are the people who:

✅ Saw your advert
✅ Visited your website
✅ Liked what they saw enough to reach out

They have already “raised their hand.”
Which means they are far more valuable than a brand-new cold lead.

Yet, many operators let these enquiries go cold simply because they don’t follow up strategically.

Not Every Lead Buys Immediately… and That’s Normal

Think about your enquiry list right now — every potential customer fits into one of three categories:

  1. The “Book Now” Clients
They reply immediately, pay the deposit, and job done.
  2. The “Book Later” Clients
They are interested, but life gets busy. Wedding planning, family, work — your email gets buried or saved “for later.”
  3. The “Not Booking” Clients
They may not have the budget, may change their mind, or may choose someone else.

Here’s where most booth owners make a mistake:
They treat silence as a no.

But silence is not rejection.
Silence is often life happening.

Especially in the wedding industry, people enquire 12–24 months before their date. Your message can easily disappear in a sea of supplier emails.

Unless they actually tell you:

❌ They’re no longer interested
❌ They’ve booked another company
❌ The event is cancelled
❌ It’s out of budget

… they should still be considered a warm lead.

And warm leads are gold.

The Simple Follow-Up Email That Re-Engages Silent Leads

When a lead goes quiet, you don’t need a long, pushy, or salesy email.

In fact, the shorter it is, the better it works.

Here’s the follow-up email I use — and it consistently sparks replies, curiosity, and bookings:

Subject: Beth
(Use lead’s first name only)

Body:
Are you still looking to hire a Selfie Pod?
(Replace “Selfie Pod” with the booth they enquired about.)

– Lee

Yes… that’s the whole email.
❌ No attachments.
❌ No signature.
❌ No phone number.
❌ No links.

Keep it as raw and conversational as possible.

🔥 Why This Email Works

This message creates:

Curiosity – It feels personal, not automated
Urgency – It expects an answer
A response trigger – The brain wants to close the loop

It looks like a message written quickly on a phone — which makes it feel genuine and human, not like a marketing email.

And because there’s no extra information included, the only way for them to get more details is by replying.

💬 Real Responses You Can Expect

When you send this, you’ll get a flood of replies like:

  • “Yes, we’re still interested! What’s the price again?”
  • “Hi! We moved our event date to the 29th — are you still available?”
  • “We’d love a booth but our budget is around £300. Can you work with that?”
  • “Not at the moment, thank you.”
  • “We already booked someone, but thank you!”
  • “It was a bit out of our price range — do you have smaller packages?”

And here’s the beauty:

Even the “no thank you” responses are wins, because they allow you to close the loop and tidy your lead list — and often open the door for a future referral.

Final Thought

Not every lead will convert immediately. But the fortune is in the follow-up.

This 10-second email:

✔ Re-opens conversations
✔ Brings warm leads back to life
✔ Converts bookings you would’ve otherwise lost

So the next time a lead goes silent, don’t assume they’re gone.

Send the email.
Start the conversation again.
And watch how many bookings reactivate.
